DATE FOR THE DIARY THE GBS OPEN DAY........Saturday 1st June

 GBS would like to invite you all to our Open Day which is going to be held at the GBS factory on Saturday 1st June. It will be a great chance to come and meet the GBS Team, have a test drive in the Zero Demonstrator, look around the GBS Workshop, Machine Shop and Show Room as well as the Kit Spares Shop and showroom. In the meantime you are always welcome to come and see us at GBS, our show room is open Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm and most Saturdays unless we are at a show or at a Track Day. We currently have the new Zero Mazda on display in our Showroom and many GBS Zero's in the workshop to view.

The GBS team are looking forward the GBS Track Day at Blyton Park next month (31st March) Its one of our favorite tracks! If your not taking part your still welcome to come and join us and have a ride out on the track in the GBS Zero with one of the GBS team. GBS ZERO IN SUNNY CORNWALL......

GBS customer Barry Ward from Cornwall collected his Zero kit from the GBS factory in November 2011, and has just sent us over some photographs of his newly registered Zero. Barry said ' The car is a joy to own and a pleasure to drive.  I found the kit to be well manufactured and straightforward to build, particularly with you all being available at the end of the phone for any questions. Many thanks again for all your help and I'll drop in and see you all next time I'm up that way'. Barry has made a superb job of his build, and we are very pleased that he his now able to enjoy the Zero experience.

BUSY WEEKEND AT THE GBS FACTORY......

GBS had a busy weekend with many test drives in the Zero demonstrator and Zero kits being collected. GBS customer Martin Cartwright from Leicester came to collect his Zero Mazda kit. Come and see the new Zero Mazda chassis which is currently on display in our showroom.

ANOTHER GBS ZERO ON THE ROAD......

Yesterday GBS customer Philip Greenfield and his family came to collect his GBS Zero that we prepared and put through the IVA test for him. Richard from GBS went out with Philip for his first drive in his Zero which he enjoyed very much. Also yesterday Chris Aris came to collect his GBS Zero Mazda kit. The Mazda chassis, is the new donor option for the Zero, which the standard GBS Zero chassis has been developed to incorporate the Mazda MX5 as a donor. It is available as a standard width chassis or the GT option and still offers all the standard features of the Zero.
Great British Sports Cars offer a full IVA service for all cars not only the GBS Zero. The GBS workshop team perform a pre-IVA inspection, complete any required work/alterations, transportation to the IVA test centre in Nottingham as well as all the paperwork that is required before/after the test. GBS ZERO GOES TO MIRA FOR TESTING........

 GBS has started the process of getting the Zero homologated for the European market. The first part of this process took place last week with a car going down to the MIRA testing centre, which is a world renowned test facility accredited by the VCA.
The first test that the Zero undertook was Vehicle Exhaust Emissions over a drive cycle the same as any new car would do, the car performed much better than expected with a lot lower g/km of CO2. Also the fuel  consumption figures for the urban, extra urban and the combined were very impressive considering the cars 178bhp, the static and drive by noise tests were also completed.
The GBS Zero range which is available in right and left hand drive has been sold in France, Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Greece, Siberia, South Africa, Australia, America, New Zealand and Ireland.
