GREAT WEEKEND AT THE GBS OPEN DAY & TRACK DAY..........

 At the weekend GBS held an Open Day at our GBS factory followed by a track day at Blyton Park on the Sunday, it was a fantastic weekend with well over 100 people attending throughout the day. At the open day people were able to view the GBS & Kit Spares showroom, GBS workshop, machine shop, and kit spares shop, the GBS Zero demonstrator also had a very busy day doing as it was doing test drives all day.
Also on the Saturday at the GBS open day Simon and Gary Sherwood were collecting their newly registered GBS Zero that we had prepared and put through the IVA test for them. They joined us for a great night camping at Blyton Park and then took their new GBS Zero around the track on the Sunday. The Track Day was a great success and we were joined by 12 other GBS Zero's and Robin Hood owners it was great to see them all out on the track together. Many customers also came and spent the day with us and were taken out on the track in our Zero demonstrator and other customer cars.

It was great to see so many people over the weekend and we would like to thank everyone for coming and supporting us, we look forward to seeing you all again soon. GBS OPEN DAY THIS SATURDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER.........

This weekend we are holding an Open Day Saturday 22nd September 9.30am - 4pm at our GBS Factory.....Its a great chance to come and meet the GBS Team, have a test drive in the Zero Demonstrator, look around the GBS Workshop, Machine Shop and Show Room as well as the Kit Spares Shop and showroom.........Followed by a Track Day at Blyton Park on Sunday 23rd September. We will be taking with us our Zero demonstaror, and currently we are being joined by 12 other customers who have booked on the track day to enjoy the day with us. If your not taking part your still welcome to come and join us and have a ride out on the track in the GBS Zero with one of the GBS team. GBS customer Paul Daly came to see us yesterday and bought his GBS Zero build to show us. Paul has built his zero to be used a track day car and has done the whole build for under £5,000. He has made a great job of his build which uses a Ford Pinto engine on twin webber 45's. Paul is looking forward to joining us at Mallory Park for a track day on Saturday 13th October . BUSY WEEKEND AT THE GBS FACTORY..........

We had a busy weekend at GBS with kit collections and test drives. On Saturday Mr and Mrs Jones came to collect their GBS Zero Starter Kit, Mrs Jones had ordered the Zero Starter kit as a surprise for her husbands 50th birthday, he was delighted with his present and can't wait to make a start with his build. Also GBS customer Simon Edwards came to collect his GBS Zero build on Saturday, that we prepared and put through the IVA test for him last week.
Great British Sports Cars now offer a full IVA service for all cars not only the GBS Zero. The GBS workshop team perform a pre-IVA inspection, complete any required work/alterations, transportaion to the IVA test centre in Nottingham as well as all the paperwork that is required before/after the test. GBS customer Howard Lester came to the GBS Factory on Saturday to drop of his GBS Zero that we are going to be preparing and putting though the IVA test for him. Howard collected his Zero kit from us beginning of February this year, and had made an excellent job of his Zero build making a few modifications to his build as he is going to be using it mainly on the track. It is fitted with a 280 bhp Duretec engine, 5 Speed Dogbox, and has already tested it around the Prodrive test track and was amazed at how well the car handled he then tested the new shock absorbers for the Zero and after testing those on the Zero he immediately ordered a set for the car.

GBS LAUNCH THE NEW MAZDA ZERO CHASSIS...........

At the weekend both Great British Sports Cars and Kit Spares attended the Donnington National Kit & Performance Show at Donnington Park, we would just like to thank The CKC Magazine Team for all there efforts in making it  such a successful weekend for us.
At the show we had a range of GBS Zero's on display including the Zero Race, Zero GT and GBS customer Matthew Fox Spencers Zero build which he kindly let us have on a display over the weekend.
The show also saw the launch of the new GBS Zero Mazda chassis, this is the new donor option for the Zero that is now available from GBS. The standard GBS Zero chassis has now been developed to incorporate the Mazda MX5 as a donor, it is available as a standard width chassis or the GT option and still offers all the standard features of the Zero.
